Pulse Cleaner

Pulse Cleaner

Dentist Brisbane: We clean suction lines using Cattani pulse cleaner daily. The cleaning system uses turbulence to shake and vibrate the suction lines while they are running. Internal pressure along the line carries all debris with it.

This How we Clean Our Lines

This is just how we clean our suction lines. you can watch the video but we are not suggesting that this is the best way. This is just our way.

Cattani Instructions

According to the instructions provided by Cattani we add around 2.5 liter of lukewarm water to the pulse cleaner bucket. Then we open the red cap of the puli jet liquid and squeeze the bottle to fill the measuring cup to around 30 ml and then we pour the liquid into the bucket provided by Cattani.

We wipe the bottle and connect the suction lines to the bucket. As the hoses suck the liquid inside the bucket, the turbulence created in the hoses shakes the lines to push the debris inside the hoses to move towards the end of the suction line. It takes minutes for particles to travel a couple of meters along the suction lines.

When the liquid level in the bucket is low, we run the suction lines in the bucket to remove all remaining liquid. Then we wipe the hoses and we run the suction lines for a few more minutes. Running dry and after a few minutes we hand up the suction lines.

We clean the filter basket using a soft brush. And we lubricate the o-ring.

Alternatives to Cleaning Solution

Instead of the liquid above, we sometimes use Alprojet Concentrate (Daily Evaculator Cleaner Bottle) which costs around $100 in Australia. We are not suggesting you should use this but we have had no issues so far using this liquid.
